PersonalBooks- I read them.

Books- I read them.

Hello everyone!!  I have soo much going on right now- lots and lots of weddings and portrait sessions will be hitting this blog shortly.  But for now, I want to leave you with a little bit of what I’ve been reading!  When I was younger, I hated reading.  I was never good at it, so I didn’t do it.  But in eight grade, I picked up Stephen King’s Firestarter and something in that book clicked with me.  I was hooked on horror.  Now I will read anything and everything, (besides Twilight, and that Fifty Shades of nasty).

I’m also one of those people that doesn’t borrow books.  Nope, I have to own them.  I love going to book stores and browsing for a good hour.  For our first Christmas together, Mr Erickson actually BUILT a bookshelf for me.  It’s amazing, and overflowing with books.  Here are a few that have been added lately-

Thank You Notes by Jimmy Fallon-  If you don’t watch Late Night with Jimmy, shame on you.  Every Friday night he writes thank you notes.  They always make my night.  This Christmas, Mr Erickson gave me this book for giggles.  I look at it every now and then if I need a pick-me-up.

Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk by David Sedaris-  Another quirky thing about me is, once I love a writer I have to own all of their books.  David Sedaris is one of those said writers.  I LOVE him.  Most of his books are memoirs and short stories and will have you rolling on the ground by the second chapter.  Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk is a compilation of short stories that doesn’t disappoint.

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin-  Everyone should read this book- Everyone.  This (for lack of a better word) self-help book is so great.  Gretchen Rubin talks about how she tried everything to make her life better, happier.  And she shares what works for her.  I loved this book and have tried to implement her book into my life.

Heaven is Here by Stephanie Nielson-  If you aren’t LDS you might not know or follow nieniebut you  should!  She has the most incredible heart and story.  Heaven is Here is her memoir about how she survived an airplane crash.  She gives you a completely different outlook on life.  She makes me want to be a better person.  I would suggest this book to anyone.

If you have a book that you absolutely love let me know!  I’m always looking for a good read. :)
